Born in lofotr, Norway to a norwegian father and danish mother.

Involved in family maritime trade from an early age.

He has traded up and down the norwegian coast, and across to the Sudreyjar ( Hebrides ) and Ireland.

He was captured in the Irish Sea by Thorgrim Ivarsson and made his thrall.  He proved himself through his abilities and knowledge which in time saw him freed.
